Participants can self-refer or be referred through their GP. In order to take part, you must be aged 18 or over, live or work within the E14 area and be motivated to make a lifestyle change.
Are the sessions on the timetable free of charge?
Health Trainer sessions are generally free unless stated otherwise on the activity timetable. Sessions that have a charge would normally range from £1 - £2.
Do I need to register before attending sessions?
No, you can attend a session without being registered. However, you will be asked to sign up to the programme when you attend a session for the first time.
How long does the Health Trainer sessions last for?
A new timetable is issued every 3 months. The sessions run from 6 weeks to 12 weeks. Typically, physical activity session run for 12 weeks and Healthy Eating sessions run for 6 weeks.
Do I need to live in the borough of Tower Hamlets to access the classes?
Yes, you will need to live or work in Tower Hamlets to join the Health Trainer programme.
Can my child accompany me to sessions?
It is not advised to take a child with you to sessions. Children can only accompany you to crèche available sessions.
